Five Stamp Mill - The Northstar Mine Powerhouse & Pelton Wheel Museum, Grass Valley, California
The Northstar Mine Powerhouse & Pelton Wheel Museum, Grass Valley, California's "Five Stamp Mill" with Pelton "Water" Wheel was originally driven with a Pelton "Water" Wheel. This 5-Stamp Mill was used for hard rock ore crushing to separate the gold bearing materials from the raw natural rocks. Presently at the time of this video filming's only one of 5-Stamps was running to reduce noise inside the Museum to the visitors.
